How is this different from ChatGPT?

Do I have to learn Kansai-ben?
No. Standard Japanese is the default. Kansai mode is coming soon as an optional way to explore the Japanese spoken in Osaka and Kyoto.
What level do I need?
Tako is especially helpful if you know some Japanese but need more speaking practice. Phrase examples and reading support help you get started, and you can ask Tako to slow down or use simpler Japanese.
Is my conversation private?
Your messages, audio and transcripts are processed to provide AI conversation. Full conversations and raw audio are not included in server operational logs. Conversation history stays on your device; a minimized learning snapshot syncs across your devices. You control the memories you approve. Read the privacy policy.
What happens after the free week?
